Map Berth Add-on

The Map Berth add-on introduce a geographical map of the port/ terminal as the basis for overviewing the planned berthing of vessels. This is in particular useful when the port/terminal consist of multiple angeled or seperated berths of supporting multiple vessels types.
The berthing planner will be able to swap between the classic berth and time view, and the map berth view including a time slider, which will display the planned berthing situation at a designated time in the future.

The Berth Map will additionally display the planned berthing direction of all planned vessels, providing a visual overview of the access and departure path of the visiting vessels. The Berth Map view will graphically reflect the shipping line/ service and the duration of the remaining port stay. By clicking on the vessel, a detailed information box relating to the vessel call is displayed.

The Berth Map view keeps track of berth types and vessel types. By clicking on a berth, all berths capable of handling similar vessel type are highlighted.

The vessel type filter applied in the Berth Map is also extended to the core berth map, where it is possible to filter on a particular vessel type, and only display berths capable of handling same vessel type. This provides a facility for easily and swiftly determining most suitable berth for incoming vessels, and for shifting and distributing vessels amongst berths capable of handling current vessel type.

Provided the Berthing Plan Visibility Add-on is already available, the Berthing Plan Map will share the geo-map to external stakeholders via the arl-space.com collaboration platform.
